Nintendo’s little white box, the Wii, has sold through an seven million units in Japan since its introduction back in 2006, according to sales data collected from Famitsu publisher Enterbrain. An impressive figure, no doubt, but what’s interesting is that sales are on the decline. This January Wii sales reached five million units, then six million in May, but took six months to reach the milestone of seven million. Despite this, the Wii is still selling better than every other gaming platform in Japan sans portables, so Nintendo likely isn’t too concerned.
