The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai, Finally Arrives

XNA mainstay and fan favorite, The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai, will be available for download this Wednesday, April 1st. Xbox 360 gamers got a taste of this indie title developed by James Silva of Ska Studios, who won first place in the 2007 Dream-Build-Play contest which netted him $10,000 and Xbox Live Arcade publishing contract.
For those not familiar with the title, you will take on the role of an undead samurai dishwasher, armed with numerous bladed weapons and "Dish Magic" in later levels. Not for the feint of heart, the game grabbed an M for Mature rating from the ESRB for its bloody, side-scrolling gameplay.
The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai will be priced at 800 Microsoft Points and available for download Wednesday, April 1st. Let's hope this isn't an April Fool's joke.

FINALLY!!!!!

Good news. I guess my 360 will be used for more than playing DVDs again.
March 31st, 2009 at 5:49 am
You own a PS3, why would you use your 360 for watching DVDs?
March 31st, 2009 at 2:34 pm
I guess you don't like Blu-Ray do you??
March 31st, 2009 at 4:50 pm
Because I have the remote for the 360. And given how often the lasers fail on the PS3 I'd like to prolong it's life as much as I can.
I love bluray but see above.

When did that become a problem? I've never heard that.

And off the top of my head I can name 3 other people that have had it happen, Tsunaii, User_Friendly and Bax (from x360a). There have been many others on QJ but I don't remember who.

If this game turns out to be 1200 points, I am going to blow my shit.
Please don't be 1200.

Please don't be 1200.
It's 800 points. A fact you would have known by actually reading the article.

Yeah, I got pissed for no reason, but UNO Rush was SAID TO BE 400 points like 5 months ago. The preview video for the NXE even shows that UNO Rush was 400 points. Then they decide to rip people off buy doubling the price on the day it was about to be released. And before when Hasbro Game Night was released, it costs 800 points for EACH game out of 4 games. All games are just simply cheap, low quality add-ons. Hell, even fucking Connect 4 is 800 points. But who knows?? Hasbro may have decided the prices.
I just hope Microsoft does not start a trend for increasing prices.

I doubt they'd change the price between announcing it on the 30th and releasing it on the 1st.
