Video: Official 5.03 PSP Running HEN

It has been a little more than two weeks since MaTiAz made public the 5.03 Tiff Exploit that got many PSP users attention by running a “Hello World” proof of concept via that exploit. Fast forward to today and Davee and Team Typhoon have been hard at work pushing closer to what every PSP owner with official 5.03 firmware wants, a Homebrew Enabler, or HEN. The above video shows you an official 5.03 firmware PSP 2003 running the Tiff Exploit and booting into a HEN environment. Here are some more details on the video:
The video proves that the code survives a reboot and the system software and MAC address can be changed. This is something that that can only be done with a kernel exploit. A video launching homebrew will be posted later.

The door has been opened, unhackable PSPs are no longer so. A door opens a gateway to larger possibilaties.

There will always be exploits.

That is absolutely beautiful! Now, lets see a video showing how to downgrade from 5.50 on a PSP-3000. :(
May 4th, 2009 at 1:02 am
Why the hell would anyone on a 3000 have 5.50?
If anyone was stupid enough to downgrade they deserve the lack of homebrew.
