Street Fighter IV Coming to iPhone
by Lachrymose on Feb.15, 2010 at 2:46 pm, under Consumer Electronics, Gaming, Media Devices
Almost one year after the console version of the game Street Fighter IV was released, an unexpected surprise was announced by Capcom, claiming that the game would soon be released on the Apple App-Store. With great reviews, and a large community supporting it, SF4 has gained a great reputation as a fighting game. You can expect to purchase this in March at a price yet to be determined.
The visuals and graphical effects were quite stunning, which brings up the question, how will it run it? The iPhone version will run a scaled down version with a decreased amount of colors and detail. It however, retains all of the combos, moves and everything else you enjoyed or disliked about the original. The fighting controls are claimed to be completely customizable and flexible to suite your iPhone gaming needs.
The best part is hands down the Bluetooth multiplayer. To battle a friend (or foe) without the need for wireless internet is an amazing thought. More details will emerge closer to the release date. Stay tuned for more details!

Decked in 8-bit pixels, it's due out on both PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade alongside the already announced WiiWare release. Monster Hunter Spinoff Hitting PSP
by eXophase Mirror on Oct.25, 2009 at 11:25 pm, under Gaming, PlayStation Portable

By way of a Famitsu report, it has been confirmed that Capcom is continuing its Monster Hunter development efforts on PSP, this time in the form of a spinoff rather than a main entry.
The game’s title loosely translates to “Monster Hunter Diary Poka Poka Airu Village.” While details are scant, a brief teaser was shown at the Monster Hunter finals event in Japan, seemingly indicating an art style shift as evidenced by the creature shown on-screen. Although official details from Capcom are still forthcoming, this could very well be an entirely new take on the franchise — more casual friendly perhaps?

Capcom’s Jun Takeuchi Says Wii to PS3 Ports Now Being Considered
by eXophase Mirror on Sep.17, 2009 at 1:30 pm, under Gaming, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360

With a motion control solution slated to hit the PS3 next year, Capcom staffer and Resident Evil 5 director Jun Takeuchi says this could signal the arrival of PS3 to Wii ports, as developers are no longer bound by the restrictions of a control pad. While Capcom itself has yet to make a clear cut decision on this, Takeuchi remarks that “other developers” are considering it, but refrained from dropping any specific names:
However, speaking to other developers in Japan, I’ve heard a few of them say they were delighted by the Sony motion controller because they can just port over their Wii titles to the PS3.
Elsewhere, Takeeuchi noted that Capcom was impressed by Microsoft’s Natal tech and has been actively exploring solutions in that space.
